A hiatus for Lost!
Are you kidding me? We have to lose our Lost from November 8 to February 7? According to TV Guide:
February 7 has been confirmed as the return date for Lost, which goes on hiatus after the Nov. 8 episode to free up the time slot for Taye Diggs’ Day Break (which I started watching last night and it is, like, wowee-zowee good).
What are we going to do for almost THREE months without Lost?? This is ridiculous! If you want to start a new show, why don’t you knock off some show that’s not doing so well? Don’t take away our Lost!

I think this was always going to be the case wasn’t it? Because last season they’d have to keep showing repeats every few weeks while they made the new episode they decided to make and show 6 in it’s own story arc. Then come back next year with enough in the bag to be able to show the other 18 episodes in one run.

They announced this last year at the end of the second season on the Lost Podcast on ABC.com. Damon Lindeloff and Carlton Cuse said that because of ABC wanting to run Lost during Sweeps weeks, and also because of fan outrage of reruns all the time, they figured that they would do what they are doing now. Which will make Lost air during all sweeps catagories, and have no Lost reruns. It in no way means that they are bumping Lost for Daybreak. Daybreak is going to be a filler so they can shoot more Lost episodes so we can have a huge chunk of 18 without ever seeing a rerun.
When Lost is on it’s on. When it’s not it’s not. That is what they’ve planned.
Aaron.
