Watching Lost

LOCKE: Thank you all for your patience. I know it’s taken me a few days to… figure out our next move, but I didn’t want to do anything until I knew more about our situation. You deserve to know everything that I do, so… no more secrets. As you all know, Miles here and three of his people came to the Island about a week ago. So I brought him up from the boathouse to share with us exactly why they’re here.
MILES: We’re here for him.
HURLEY: Um, we kind of, like, knew that forever ago.
SAWYER: Well, all right then. Problem solved. How soon do we turn him over?
LOCKE: We can’t turn him over.
SAWYER: And why the hell not?
BEN: Because once they have me, their orders are to kill everyone else on the Island.
CLAIRE: Wait. So… what, he’s one of us now? You’re–you’re gonna protect him? He tried to kill you, John.
HURLEY: Yeah. He won’t even tell us who his spy on the boat is.
BEN: It’s Michael.
HURLEY: What?
BEN: My spy on the freighter is Michael.
SAWYER: I’m sorry. You mean the same guy that killed two women in cold blood to set this little bastard free? And then sold all of us out so he could get off the Island? That Michael?
LOCKE: Yes, James. That Michael.

SAYID: Hello, Michael.
MICHAEL: Not now, man.
SAYID: Yes. Right now.Why are you on this boat?
MICHAEL: I’m here to die.

SUN: Hello. My name is Sun.
DANIEL: Hi, Sun, I’m Daniel. Something I can help you with?
SUN: I’m two months pregnant.
DANIEL: Oh, you’re… Wow, that’s… Congratulations!
SUN: So are you here to rescue us? …. It’s a simple question. Are you or are you not going to rescue us?
DANIEL: The thing is… um, it’s not really my call, Sun.
SUN: And whose call is it? …. Thank you.

JULIET: Where are you going, Sun?
SUN: We’re going to Locke’s camp.
JULIET: What? Why?
SUN: Because I don’t trust these people.
JULIET: Whether you trust them or not, you can’t go there. Locke doesn’t want to leave the island, and I’ve told you… Sun, pregnant women… they don’t survive here.
SUN: Yes… You did tell me that.
JULIET: You don’t believe me… Look, I know that I have been less than truthful about certain things since coming here, but I promise you, Sun… I promise you, I’m not lying about this. After everything you’ve confided in me, I should at least have your trust.
SUN: Claire’s baby is fine. I feel fine. All I have are your stories that I’m going to get sick. I’m going to do what’s best for me and for my baby, because, no… I don’t trust you.

JULIET: She’s not going anywhere. Sun, this is a bad idea.
SUN: What concern is it of yours?
JULIET: (Asking Jin) Do you understand your wife’s medical condition right now? Translate for me.
SUN: No.
JULIET: Your wife is very sick. If she doesn’t get off this island in three weeks, she will die. If you let her go, your wife is in danger. Jin… Danger.
JIN: Wherever Sun go, I go.
JULIET: Jin. Your wife had an affair.
JIN: What?
JULIET: Sun was with another man. She thought the baby was his.

HARPER: Juliet. I’m Harper Stanhope. Please sit. Today is just a meet and greet so that we can get to know each other.
JULIET: Please don’t take this the wrong way, but I-I really don’t think I need therapy.
HARPER: How about we call it “talking” instead of therapy?
JULIET: Okay.
HARPER: Good.
HARPER: Let’s talk. So you’ve been here a week. And what’s your least favorite part so far?
JULIET: I don’t like being treated like a celebrity.
HARPER: And is that surprising? You’re big news right now.
JULIET: Yes, I know. I guess I don’t like being the center of attention. It makes me feel isolated… alone.
HARPER: Well, maybe you feel that all eyes are on you, but you’re not a celebrity, and soon enough, you’ll realize that you’re no different than anyone here.

SAYID: My friend is disoriented!
DESMOND: I’m not your friend! I don’t know you! I don’t know you!
KEAMY: When did he start doing this?
FRANK: He was fine when we took off…when we hit some weather. Hey, Faraday told me as long as I stayed on the vector…

SAYID: What’s happening to Desmond? Your friends know what’s wrong with him.
FRANK: Well if they do, they’re not sharing it with me.
SAYID: Then perhaps you’ll share how we took off at dusk and landed in the middle of the day.
FRANK: Listen. I don’t know what’s happening to your buddy, alright? But you gotta trust me when I tell you this. I am trying to help you.
SAYID: You want to help me? Give me your phone. Let me call my people.

BALIFF: Katharine Anne Austen, you are charged with fraud, arson, assault on a federal officer, assault with a deadly weapon, grand larceny, grand theft auto, and murder in the first degree. Mrs. Austen, how do you plead?
KATE: Not guilty.

KATE: You got blood…
LOCKE: I just killed a chicken. What can I do for you?
KATE: I want to talk to Miles. Where are you keeping him?
LOCKE: Why do you need to talk to him?
KATE: It’s personal.
LOCKE: No.
KATE: And what gives you the right to decide whether or not–
LOCKE: You may think this is a democracy, Kate, because of the way Jack ran things, but this is not a democracy.
KATE: Well, I guess that makes it a dictatorship.
LOCKE: If I was a dictator, I would just shoot you, and go about my day. Dinner’s at six if you’re hungry.

FRANK: We burned a lot of fuel coming in, it can’t carry much weight. I’ll take three of you.
MILES: In case you zoned out while you were tweezing your goatee, one of these yahoos took Charlotte prisoner.
SAYID: I can bring her back. Safely. And if I do, will you take me to the ship.
FRANK: Absolutely. You bring Charlotte back safe, and I will get you off this island.

SAWYER: You ready to give us the name, Gizmo?
LOCKE: He’s not going to tell you who the spy is on their boat, James.
SAWYER: Yeah, why not?
LOCKE: Because that’s the only thing keeping him alive.
SAWYER: Well here’s an idea: why don’t we take a gun, point it to his big toe and send that little piggy to the market. And if he still doesn’t want to tell us, move on to the roast beef. Why don’t we do that?
LOCKE: Because then we’d have to carry him.

JACK: You should go with them, Kate.
KATE: Are you serious?
JACK: Yeah.
KATE: What, don’t you trust Sayid?
JACK: I don’t trust Locke.
KATE: So what’s preventing him from doing to me what he did to Naomi?
JACK: Sawyer won’t let him.

FRANK: Hey, this guy Sayid – where’s he from?
JACK: Iraq.
FRANK: Iraq? He’s just gonna go and work everything out? What was he, a diplomat?
JACK: No. No, he was a torturer.

LOCKE: Let’s go.
SAWYER: Why are you going East? Thought you said the Barracks were due South.
LOCKE: Because, James, we have to make a little detour first.
SAWYER: Detour to what?
LOCKE: There’s a cabin I have to go to.
HURLEY: I think the cabin was back that way.
LOCKE: What did you say Hugo?
HURLEY: I er, thought you were talking about the airplane cabin.
SAWYER: Why are we wasting our time going to some shack anyway?
LOCKE: Because we’re supposed to.
SAWYER: Right. Like you were supposed to throw a knife into that Naomi chick’s back.
LOCKE: Ahuh.
SAWYER: You mind telling us who you’re getting your orders from, Colonel Kurtz?
LOCKE: I got it from Walt.

JULIET: Jack still isn’t back. Anything?
SAYID: No. But its a big Island. The freighter could be approaching from the other side.
JULIET: That’s the spirit.
SAYID: Juliet, you lived amongst the Others, why would Ben say the people coming here intend to do us harm?
JULIET: Because he’s a liar. And he’s trying to scare us, that’s what Ben does. Or, because the people coming here intend to do us harm.

JACK: Hey, Daniel. Why did you bring the gun?
DAN: Err, as a precaution.
JACK: Precaution against what?
DAN: Okay, see rescuing you and your people…can’t really say its our primary objective.

SAWYER: What the hell do you mean you saw Walt? In a dream?
LOCKE: No dream, it was Walt. Only, taller.
SAWYER: Taller? What like a giant? OK, what exactly did Walt tell you?
LOCKE: He said I had work to do. That I had to stop this woman, Naomi, from bringing the rest of her people here.
SAWYER: What you didn’t ask any follow-up questions?
LOCKE: Ben had shot me and left me for dead, Walt saved my life, so I pretty much took him at his word.
SAWYER: He shot you? Yet here you are fit as a fiddle tromping through the jungle.
LOCKE: The bullet went in one side, came out the other. I’d probably be dead if I still had a kidney there.

BEN: Mind if I ask you a question, James?
SAWYER: Yeah I do.
BEN: Why’d you leave Kate behind?
SAWYER: Wasting your time, Yoda.

Hurley: Stop! Don’t you know who I am? Stop, wait, don’t you know who I am? I’m one of the Oceanic six! I’m one of the Oceanic six!!!

Charlie: Can we just talk? Don’t freak out like you did in the Gas Station.
Hurley: Im trying to buy some Jerky and a Slushy and suddenly youre standing there by the Hohos!! You’re dead! What do you expect me to do?

Jack: Where is it?
Ben: Ok I probably should have told you that I saw her take the phone but you beat me up, Jack. I owed you one.
Jack: What are you talking about?
Ben: Kate took it when she hugged you. … She found the right trail too but you wouldn’t listen to her, so I guess she’s taken matters into her own hands. But look on the bright side, at least somebody around here knows what the hell they’re doing.

Jack: You’re telling me she stopped bleeding here?
Rousseau: No. I’m telling you that she fooled us. Doubled back.
Ben: Better call the boat. Tell em she’s getting a real big bundle of firewood.
(Phone ringing)
Kate: That’s our ride.

Desmond: We need to get to Jack. We can’t let him get in touch with that boat.
Sawyer: Easy Scottie, everything’s cool, boat is on the way.

Mike: You wanna’ know a funny coincidence?
Hurley: Sure.
Mike: I knew someone on your plane.
Hurley: Really?
Mike: Her name was Ana-Lucia Cortez, she was my partner before I made detective. Dark hair, gorgeous. Maybe you knew her…maybe you met her on the plane, before it took off?
Hurley: Sorry, never met her.

Ben: Jack, with your permission I would like to go with John
Jack to Locke: He’s all yours.

Naomi, on the phone: Tell my sister I love her.

Note: By the way, what’s the deal with that? Is this a coded message? Why did the Naomi lie to her rescue team about what happened to her?

Daniel (the rescuer): Are you Jack?

According to the press release it will have text on the lower third of the screen and will “let viewers in” on clues in the show, as well as give back story to catch new viewers up for Season Four.
