Juliet cannot be trusted!

by Holli

What a great episode last night! I love, love, love seeing how all the pieces are fitting together, and I am more impressed every episode with the producers and the writers. What did you think??

I’ll have more discussion and a recap a little later…

At the end of the episode, when Juliette asked Jack why he trusted her, Jack said that he saw the look in her eyes when the sub blew up. Because all she wants more than anything is to get off the island, that makes her one of them. I believe that 100%, but Ben is using her for some end that we don’t know yet, and her prize will be a ticket off the island to get back to her sister. I also think that Ben was TOTALLY lying to Juliette when he told her after 6 months, the sister’s cancer had returned. He manipulated her into thinking that this “Jacob” would cure Rachel only if Juliette would stay on the island. He had to know that Juliette would get suspicious after some time, hence the serveilance on Rachel to prove to Juliette that she was fine, and once again stealing her trust.

Ok, this was probably the best episode of the season to me. This harkens back to season one good. And big shout out to Elizabeth Mitchell, because girl can ACT her butt off.

How could Jack be so trusting? Was that a gas mask or what that Ben handed to Juliette? And I agree with JoshyC — Juliette will do WHATEVER it takes to get home.

  3. Joshy C. Says:

See part of me thinks Jack can’t be THAT stupid, and that he’s playing Juliette the same way she’s playing everyone else. I think that maybe we’re underestimating Jack, and that he really has an eye on Juliette and knows that something is up. Juliette has manipulated Jack into thinking that she trusts him, so maybe Jack has done the same thing to Juliette.

[...] Lost Recap - One of Us (April 11) April 12th, 2007 by Holli There has already been some great points made on my previous post, so check that out if you haven’t already. Joshy C., I hope that Jack has some other plan and that he’s not trusting Juliet completely. AmyD, I agree that last night’s episode was the best so far this season, so let’s get on with the recap. 5. Heather Says:

Okay, so we know they implanted Claire with something that made her sick…what was it and when did they do that? Is it possible they implanted Sun at some time (although I don’t know when they would have done that) and that’s how she got pregnant? It is clearly no coincidence that Juliet shows up to live with the Losties relatively soon after Sun finds out she’s pregnant.

Oh, and Juliet and Goodwin? Ew. He’s probably the creepiest and slimiest of the Other males.

  6. AmyD Says:

I have this fear that Jack has been brainwashed and is actually one of them now. Why else would he be playing football with them? Playing football with them is a far cry from just “keeping my head low” which is what he told Kate he did.
