Lost at the Comic Con 2008

by

comic-con The Lost Panel at the Comic Con was attended by Executive producers Carlton Cuse and David Lindelof, who were also part of the Showrunners Panel earlier that weekend.

Lost opened with video clips, apparently never before seen on the show — one was about the plane crash survivors, and another was the DVD extra features.

Then someone arrived who is supposedly the head of the Dharma Initiative, Dr. Marvin Candle. The guy was in character, acting and speaking as if he was actually recruiting at that event…and well, they really were. Then Dr. Candle called up five people who passed the recruitment process from the audience and were brought back stage. One of them was probably an actor who showed footage of what happened to them at the back.

Matthew Fox makes a surprise appearance during the Q & A and here are some of the answers to the questions fielded:

  • Shooting will begin in three weeks.
  • The writers have no idea how the series will end, it’s only Cuse and Lindelof who has the key to the end of the story.
  • The island apparently did not move.
  • Locke and Jin are still in the fifth season and will appear “in some form”.
  • The producers’ favorite episode from last season is The Constant.
  • We will still see Danielle’s story. Whether that’s a flashback or the actress would be back, they didn’t elaborate.
  • We will also be seeing Richard’s story.
  • The Kate-Jack-Sawyer love triangle will continue.
  • “When season five starts, you’re not going to know when or where you are.” - Says Lindelof.

There were apparently some 6,000 people in attendance to the Lost Panel, per comments at BuddyTV.

Many thanks to CarlLost for the videos.

Oh I have the most glorious theory based on that new video.
I submit that Daniel is the voice behind the camera, therefore he is ageless like Richard and he was at one time part of the Dharma initiative. While on the island he had a family most notably a baby girl named Charlotte!
