People have been having difficulty separating him from his character. In Waikiki where he lives when the show is filming, he kept running into a couple from New Zealand and the woman said that she wouldn’t watch the show anymore because his character was so dark. He was on subway recently and someone stood up and said, “That is that guy! That is that scary guy from TV!? He said that everyone turned to stare and the preacher woman on the train started to make him the subject of her sermon.
