Lost reruns to air on the SciFi Channel, Sept 15
It’s a long wait for new episodes from Lost since its fifth season isn’t premiering until 2009. So fans are left with watching reruns on a variety of sources — either on television, through streaming at ABC or Veoh or DVDs.
The fourth season’s DVD of the series, however, doesn’t come until the end of the year. And not everyone can properly schedule a time for watching the shows online. Several months before the DVD release, though, fans may watch the series on the SciFi Channel, as it airs the complete fourth season beginning September 15th.
Along with Lost, the channel will also carry Ghost Hungers, Eureka, Starget Atlantis, the new show Sanctuary and ECW.
More details after the cut…
From The Futon Critic:
Sci Fi has firmed up its fall rollout plans, network sources have confirmed to the site today.
Here’s a breakdown of what to expect:
– "Ghost Hunters" and "Destination Truth" return with new episodes on Wednesday, September 3. They’ll take over for "Ghost Hunters International" and "Scare Tactics" which wrap their summer runs on August 20 and August 13, respectively.
– "Lost" then will kick off its off-network run on Monday, September 15. A block of four episodes will air starting at 7:00/6:00c every Monday.
– "Eureka" will broadcast its mid-season finale on Tuesday, September 23 at 9:00/8:00c. The following week on September 30, "ECW" will slide into the 9:00/8:00c slot followed by the fall premiere of "Scare Tactics" at 10:00/9:00c. As for "Eureka," the remainder of its third season (13 episodes) will presumably roll out sometime in 2009.
– "Stargate Atlantis" will wrap the front half of its fifth season on Friday, September 26 at 10:00/9:00c. Newcomer "Sanctuary" launches the following Friday on October 3 with a special two-hour premiere. Said drama is being billed as "the first television series to feature live-action actors against primarily virtual sets."
