Lost Scoop!

by Holli

Some may consider this spoilerish, so the scoop’s after the jump.

From TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello:

Question: Thanks for the Lost scoop last week. But I am a greedy bugger, and will take the words out of Oliver Twist’s mouth: I want some more!— Benjamin Fleming
Ausiello: And more you shall get, BF. Lost’s streak of mind-blowing episodes continues tonight with “The Brig,” the much ballyhooed “non-flashback” outing penned by Team Darlton. But I have to warn you, it’s a dark hour, punctuated by one of the (spoiler alert) most, um, twisted Lost deaths ever.

Question: Help me out here. I’m four months pregnant and need as much Lost scoop as possible!— Allyson
Ausiello: How ’bout I give you four “Brig” scoops — one for each month you’ve been knocked up:

1) A classic Lost set piece makes a comeback.
2) Keep your eyes on Juliet’s tape recorder. It’s goin’ places.
3) Someone poses this question to Sawyer: “Wanna zip your pants up?”
4) There’s a little postcoitus canoodling within the first five minutes (and it may or may not be related to No. 3).

Question: Am I wrong to suspect that Jack will be one of the five Lost deaths you have been speaking of?— Brandon
Ausiello: Yes, you would be wrong to suspect that. Jack is not dying. And remember, I said there will be at least five deaths this month — four after tonight.

Question: Did we see the “game-changing” moment on last week’s Lost when Naomi revealed that the outside world had found Flight 815 and that there were no survivors?— Louis
Ausiello: Take it away, Damon Lindelof: “Nope. Not yet. Trust us: YOU. WILL. KNOW.”

So, who’s going to die tonight?? If we believe Ausiello, it’s not Jack. And what could be meant by “twisted”? What do you think?

This is what I think. Locke’s dad is really the guy who conned Sawyer’s parents. Locke’s dad is responsible for Sawyer’s parents’ death, and we will find out tonight that Locke goes back to Sawyer and tells him this because Locke can’t kill him, but he knows that Sawyer has killed before and will do it again. Locke’s dad is the one who will die tonight, mark my words.

Plus we’ll find out how Patchie is alive, i hope. The non-flashbacks are going to be showing what Locke’s been doing with the others the past week, so hopefully we’ll see Patchie rise from the dead.

As for the “twisted”….i can only imagine, but i’m looking forward to it! :)

  2. Holli Says:

Ooooh, good thoughts! I have to agree that Locke’s dad seems like a likely candidate…

JoshyC, I was wondering if Locke’s dad had to do with Sawyer’s Sawyer - if that makes sense. The episode where Locke is thrown out of the window by his father made me wonder this, because of his dad being a con-artist.

I also think that Locke is going to tell Sawyer that it’s Ben under the hood but really it’ll be someone else. Sawyer was already tricked once (when he killed the man he THOUGHT was Sawyer), so he can be tricked again since he wants that revenge so badly. At least that’s what I think.

There are too many connections with people conning other people!

Tonight’s episode is going to be GOOD! And a death!

  4. Joshy C. Says:

You are correct Amanda. The beach Sawyer is really James Ford. The “REAL” Sawyer conned James’ mother and caused his parents to kill each other. That’s where James got his name from. I believe that the “real” Sawyer is Locke’s dad. James killed the shrimp farmer in Australia who he was told was the man responsible for conning his parents. Through Juliette, we know that the Other’s found this out. They seem to know just about everything about all the losties, and it would make sense that they would know that Locke’s dad was the Real Sawyer, and might have told Locke this information. Locke is not a murderer, but he knows that Sawyer is, so from the previews, I think that Locke goes back to the beach for Sawyer so he can kill his Dad for him.

    Did that make sense?

  5. AmandaH Says:

    Def. makes sense JoshyC.

I’m wondering a few things - so let me try to make sense of it -
From the previews I’ve watched, Locke finds James and says I’ve captured Ben, come kill him, basically. So!…
    1. Does Locke think it’s Ben, but somehow does a switchero with the “real” Sawyer? Therefore, Locke and James are rid of their nemesis?
    2. Does Locke tell James that it’s Ben he’s captured and wants killed, but really knows that it’s the “real” Sawyer, and makes the connection to James after the Others tell him this information?
    3. Does Locke reveal it’s the “real” Sawyer before James kills him, or after?

Guess we won’t know until we watch it. But it’s going to be amazing.

What if they don’t even kill Ben/Sawyer, whoever is under the hood, and it’s someone we haven’t even suspected!? Oh gosh!

I totally think that Locke’s dad is the “real” Sawyer. Which is wild! But I love it. He’s conned others, including his own son, so why wouldn’t he be the con man of James’ mom?

Hmm. What else. I want Jack to find out that Claire’s his half-sister and that Aaron is his half-nephew. That may not be resolved for a long time though. :/
