Lost Season 4 Episode 10 Something Nice Back Home

Is it wrong to say that I’m the least bit interested with whatever happens to Jack now? This felt like the longest one hour of my life. Sorry Jack, but Ben’s time-travels and Desmond-heart-Penny is what excites me now. I’m not sure I can even gather my thoughts and give this episode a decent recap. I found myself leaving the room in the middle of the episode. I was just bored!
I was, however, scared of this:

Although I knew it was coming, the scene preps you along the way. But like Jack, I think I jumped when I saw his dad appear to him at work (in this hospital…way into the future).
Speaking of the future — Jack, Kate and little Aaron lived together post-island. Like one little happy family, where Jack would read bed time stories to the baby and go to bed with his gorgeous partner afterwards.

The future seemed good. Jack was happy. He told Hurley he was happy. Even as Hurley says all these can’t be happening because they are already dead. Charlie told him so. Apparently, he gets visited by him regularly at the mental institution. Charlie also has a message for Jack. It was
— “You’re not supposed to take care of him” perhaps in reference to Aaron
— and someone was going to visit Jack (see Christian above)
In the future, Jack proposed marriage to Kate…

… but after Jack’s visit to Hurley, and his father’s visit to him, everything changed for the couple and I think the marriage is off the table.

In the present day, on the island —
- Jack is suffering from appendicitis and Juliet rounds up everyone to help. She was going to operate on Jack and she needed supplies from the clinic that she brought Sun before.
- Sun, Jin, the freighter people Daniel and Charlotte all go to the clinic to gather what they need. The Koreans speak to each other about their companions and when they come back to the beach much later, Jin corners Charlotte and tells her he knows she understood Korean. He only wants one thing from her - that Sun gets on that helicopter and back to the mainland.
- At the operating table, Jack was supposed to watch Juliet and guide her through, but the pain was too much to bear, he had to be knocked unconscious. After a successful procedure and while Jack remains asleep, Juliet talks to Kate and tells her Jack kissed her. But it was only because Jack wanted to be sure “he doesn’t love someone else.”
- Sawyer, Claire and Miles sees Danielle and Karl’s dead body on the way back to the beach. They also encounter Lapidus who tells them to hide because Keamy and his team of mercenaries was on the way. Later, Claire goes missing and Sawyer asks Miles where she went. Miles tells him she was not alone, and was with someone she called Dad. Claire leaves Aaron with them. Where could she have gone and was she actually talking to Christian?

Flat, flat episode I think I could do without. Maybe I’ll appreciate it on second viewing….. Nah!

I totally agree. I didn’t get anything out of this. The scene with Hurley was really creepy, but besides that, i was very bored and could care less about Jack and Kate in the future.
