Lost’s Sawyer is Really Stepping Up

The producers are really right about one thing when they said a lot about the character of Sawyer stepping up this season. The guy isn’t my favorite character at all. But watching the past four episodes that aired so far, I’m already beginning to see what they mean. His character is shining.

My favorite scene from this week’s episode (Little Prince) is that of Sawyer discovering Kate helping Claire give birth:

I am not calling on any Emmy award nomination for Josh Holloway this early, but you know what? I won’t be surprised if he gets considered. That scene moved me to bits.

I couldn’t check the site until now because we weren’t caught up on the episodes and I didn’t want any spoilers.
But it’s funny because just tonight I said to my husband, I’m really NOT liking Sawyer this season so far. So I had the opposite reaction. He just seems so brooding and the fun has gone out of him. I’m hoping it turns around, he used to be one of my favorite characters.
