Naveen Andrews Wins Custody of Son in a Grueling Court Fight
Let us step away from news and updates about the program for a moment and set our attention to one of today’s biggest stories involving an actor from Lost. This one really caught my attention. It’s as if this was an episode from Lost and Kate had to fight to keep custody of Aaron. Except that this is real life and it’s happening to a real family…with a real, vulnerable child involved.
I wasn’t aware Naveen Andrews had a son and that he is currently with Barbara Hershey. (And her, I remember from old 80’s flicks.)
According to news, the couple had been undergoing a “courtroom battle royale” in order to gain custody of Naveen’s 3 year old boy from his mother, Elana Eustache. The custody battle, based on pictures now all over the internet, did not look really good, especially with the boy’s mom bawling and wailing over the decision by the court. She lost her son to the actor. You can check for the photos here.
The court has granted Naveen temporary custody of his son, Naveen Joshua, after Elana broke the terms of her agreement, one that stipulated shared custody of the boy…then. News say she supposedly took the boy out of LA without permission and has been preventing the father and son from seeing each other.
With the new decision and the father getting sole custody, Elana isn’t even allowed by the court to see her son.
Permanent sole custody will be granted to Naveen later this month, should things go well with his family.

I hadn’t heard that latest news. I remembered when the woman had the child and it was sort of scandalous because Naveen had a short relationship with the woman when he was “on a break” from Barbara, with whom he has been with a long time.
After reading the article you linked to, it sounds like the boy’s mom is in no shape mental health wise to take care of the boy.
