Surely, one of the things viewers can’t let go from last night’s episode was what ever happened to Ben’s face? What’s with all the cuts and bruises? Who gave it to him and how did he manage to walk out of it afterwards? What happened here?
Considering that when this happened, when his face was shown to us, he called Jack from the docks to tell him he was going to be delayed. Who was in the docks? Penny and Desmond? They live in their boat with their new baby, right?
So are the bruisings related to this? Has he gone after Penny, making good his threat to Widmore that he was going to go after his daughter the same way Widmore caused the death of Alex (Ben’s daughter)?
Or on a totally different path….is there some kind of connection between Kate, Sayid’s arrest and Ben’s bruised face?
There would be some very interesting storylines for Ben in upcoming episodes on Lost and Michael Emerson talks to TV Guide to reveal some details of it.
Fox is doing some schedule changes in March for American Idol. It could spell big trouble for Lost.
Beginning March 11, when the talent show enters its finals round, the Wednesday results show which usually airs between 8 to 9 PM is moving an hour later, going head to head with Lost.
This will mark the first time in two years that ABC’s trippy serial will regularly go toe-to-toe with the reality juggernaut, the Hollywood Reporter notes. This scheduling news comes just days after a “special” two-hour Wednesday Idol outing knocked Lost’s Nielsens down a peg. For me, it brings to mind that Bud Fox quote from Wall Street: “How many yachts can you water-ski behind, Kevin Reilly?”
American Idol will be exchanging slots with the procedural Lie To Me starring Tim Roth. The drama series was benefited from American Idol’s lead in audience but it will be left to stand alone by March, against NBC’s Knight Rider.
I’ve unearthed two of these funny videos about Lost on YouTube. It’s actually a Dummy’s guide to what happens with each episode brought to us by the people of www.dudewearelost.com
MILES: [To Daniel] Where’d that guy come from? I thought he was on the boat.
DANIEL: [To Miles] The blast must’ve thrown him in the water. He’s been moving with every flash, just like us.
SAWYER: [Explaining to Jin] Every time the sky lights up, we…move through time.
JIN: [Speaking Korean at Sawyer, frustratedly. Then, in English, to Charlotte] Translate. Please, translate.
SAWYER: [To Miles] You heard the man, translate.
MILES: Uh, he’s Korean. I’m from Encino.
JIN: [Speaking Korean to Charlotte]
CHARLOTTE: [To Locke] He wants to know how you’re sure his wife is off the island.
SAWYER: You speak Korean, Red?
MILES: Obviously.
LOCKE: Tell him I’m sure. But none of it will matter if we don’t make it to the Orchid.
CHARLOTTE: [Speaking Korean to Jin] [Subtitle: He’s sure. And he says we have to get to a station called the Orchid.]
JIN: [Speaking Korean] [Subtitle: What’s the ‘Orchid’?]
CHARLOTTE: [Speaking Korean] [Subtitle: A way off the island. Locke’s planning to leave here and bring back all of your friends. Including your wife. He thinks it’s the only way to stop the flashes.]
JIN: [To Locke] Bring Sun back? Why you bring her back?
LOCKE: Because she never should’ve left.
Nielsen has just announced is first ever online program rankings based on official online streaming from TV network websites such as ABC.com, CWTV.com, CBS Television, NBC.com, Fox Broadcasting and Hulu.
The most popular series watched online? It’s none other than LOST.
I finally understand now that Kate loves Sawyer more than she loves Jack. These two are perfect for each other and as this entry from Newsvine says, Sawyer and Kate are equals. In more ways than one, they do seem more compatible than Kate and Jack will ever be.
Sawyer and Kate (Lost): Some might say that on the island of Lost there’s a love triangle between Kate, Jack and Sawyer and it does seem like it but ultimately Kate must choose between the doctor and the southern rebel but in staying exact to the definition of love, Sawyer and Kate have a deeper mutual understanding for one another. They trust and value each other’s judgement and decisions and from what their respective pasts have shown, they’re equals. The two of them have an undeniable connection with one another and with the way the current season is scoping out, it appears as though Sawyer and Kate long for one another in the heartbreaking separation and sacrifice he made for her and the other Oceanic survivors. Hopefully these two will find their ways back to each other by season’s end.
Charlotte was eventually gonna die, right? The symptoms we saw of her bleeding? That meant she was gonna get Minowski-ed sooner than later. It was predictable, her inevitable death. But last night, I wasn’t prepared to see her go for some reason. So, I’m mourning her loss quite a bit…
Anyway, Rebecca Mader, who plays Charlotte, has this short interview with the LA Times. On it, she said that she has known she would be gone from the show as early as June of 2008. But as this is Lost, she says she may return in Season 6, if asked, that is.
Daniel Dae Kim dropped by The View yesterday. Here is the video of it. Some of the things he mentioned — He says he has to read the script of Lost these days a couple of times to understand to process it. He also says his mom is so affected if his character gets hurt on Lost.
Watch it:
He’s quite the eloquent person, isn’t he?
Incidentally, here is the promo photo of Jin, which was only released this week, when it was revealed on the show that his character was still very much alive.
Two-time dad Daniel Dae Kim had some really nice words to say about his Lost co-star Josh Holloway, whose wife is expecting this year. This would be Josh’s first baby and Daniel, believes he will make a great dad.
Speaking before People Magazine, the Korean actor has this to say:
As a father of two, Lost star Daniel Dae Kim knows a thing or two about parenthood – and he predicts that his co-star Josh Holloway “will be an incredible dad.” “He’s a very sweet sensitive man,” Kim says of Holloway, who is best known as Lost’s sarcastic, shirtless rebel Sawyer, and who, in his real life, is expecting his first child with wife Yessica. “When you talk to him about his baby, his face completely lights up,” adds Kim. “It’s really heartwarming to see that he and Yessica are just completely ready and can’t wait.”
As for his own family, Kim says they may stay in Hawaii where Lost is filmed, even after the show wraps. “When we first got here it was like paradise camp,” says Kim, who’s married and has two sons, ages 12 and 7. “More than any of the other cast we’re giving serious consideration to staying here, at least through high school. It’s really great for family.”
Daniel also talks about his character, Jin’s resurgence on the show, in this interview.
