Well, that’s what Hurley thought Nikki said. (If you haven’t watched last night’s episode, stop reading!)
Actually, she said, “PARALYZED.” Can you people believe this?? So, Paulo and Nikki have been buried alive!? This show never ceases to amaze and surprise me. I love it. Although I was initially let down by the episode, it redeemed itself at the end. And I’ll have a full discussion a little bit later. Any initial thoughts from you guys?

Just remember what Locke said earlier in the episode when Paulo was digging on the beach: “Things don’t stay burried on this island.”

I loved it! I loved that we got to see what they’ve been up to all along and how Paulo discovered the Pearl, etc.
But I really loved that they acknowledged the fan backlash for the characters - Sawyer saying “Who the hell is Nicki?” numerous times, etc. I also laughed out loud when the old guy said, “He’s the Wolfgang Puck of Brazil” since the press always call Rodrigo “The Tom Cruise of Brazil” - ha! I’ll be back later for the recap.

My initial thought when I saw her eyes pop open and verify that INDEED they were being buried alive, the stingy little greedy buggers? OUCH! SAND! IN THE EYES! and then my second thought? HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA BRILLIANT!

I was happy to see them buried alive, because I still found them annoying, even with the added back story. I am sure they will be back though (unfortunately). I thought it was so funny when Hurley struggled to come up with something to say at the funeral and said how much he loved Expose.
