Sawyer’s from Alabama??

by Holli

Jasper, Alabama, to be exact. And since this blog is coming to you from the state of Alabama, I was surprised by this information. We didn’t know this before, did we? The marking on his letter was Nashville, Tennessee, right?

Anyway, it was a great episode! I can’t believe how evil Ben is and how mean Locke’s dad is! I mean, I know pushing your son out of a window and stealing his kidney does not make him Father of the Year, but to continue to taunt him like he was?? He deserved what he got.

Check back later for a full discussion, but what did you think???

WHAT AN EPISODE!!! I feel like I need to watch it again just to catch everything in there! But you are right, Locke’s dad is a real jerk, even when he’s tied up with a knife to his throat. I can not WAIT till next week when we get a Ben flashback episode! We’re really gonna learn about Dharma beginnings i think. And what was Juliette meaning when she said, “We should tell her” to Jack. I’m thinking maybe that there’s no way to communicate with the outside world now? Or something else. Any ideas?

  2. AmyD Says:

I’m thinking Jack is TOTALLY one of them, y’all. Could be wrong, though.

And the Jasper shout out? LOVED IT!

  3. Holli Says:

Joshy, I seem to remember Ben saying that their “beam” that the submarine uses to find its way back was down, so I’m guessing there’s something wrong with communications on the island. I’ve always felt that the Others are capable of blocking all signals… that’s why the satellite phone won’t work, Rousseau’s looping message never goes anywhere, the plane’s controls went haywire before crashing, etc. Maybe that’s what Juliet meant, but there could be something else. I don’t trust her, and I’m worried that Jack’s one of them too!

  4. AmandaH Says:

Why wasn’t Locke allowed to touch his dad? We see him try and he gets bitten, resulting in the bandaged hand. Then when does the second time, Ben nearly flips out telling him to get off of him and not touch him.

Did anyone see Locke’s hand when he unwrapped it?
I’m thinking he’s infected with something - the same thing Rousseau’s team had? Just a thought.

    That bite was vicious though.

  5. Holli Says:

I couldn’t figure out why Locke’s dad bit him, either. I was just thinking maybe it’s because he’s crazy and evil. :) But it could have deeper meaning. You just never know…
