There’s some really cool stuff coming up.
So says Matthew Fox. Gary Susman reports the following:
Matthew Fox debunked any speculation that the reason he had enough free time to do Saturday Night Live last week is that Jack has been whacked. “I can’t tell you why, but I have had a little reprieve from the show,” he acknowledged in an interview with The Boston Herald yesterday. “I hear there’s rumors out there that I’ve been killed off the show. Which I love that. I love the fact that anytime, they’ll take the tiniest little kernel of, Matthew Fox shows up in New York and ‘He’s been killed off Lost!’” He assured the Herald he’d be back in Hawaii soon to resume shooting Lost. “It’s going to be a good year,” he said. “There’s some really cool stuff coming up.”
Do we really have to wait until February?? In mean, Day Break is not really doing that well. ABC has taken The Nine off the schedule for now. Why don’t they just expand the Lost season a few episodes? They’re making tons of money. There would be plenty to fund 5 more episodes, don’t you think? C’mon ABC! What do you have to lose??

Hey Holli,
Well, Damon and Carlton have stated quite a few times that it’s pretty much impossible to film more than 24 episodes of the show. Not because of budget constraints, but because the show is one of the hardest to film in the TV business.
They’ve said, on their podcast and in interviews, that they would LOVE to do a new episode every week, but it’s just impossible. They’ve said from start to finish an episode takes about a month to make that’s filming and editing combined.
I understand where they are coming from. Think about all the stuff that goes into the show. How intricate it is, where it’s filmed, how much stuff they have to deal with. It’s hard work making a show. It’s only humanly possible for them to make 24 episodes, and they’ve said even that’s pushing it, but they know they’d be killed by all the fans if they shortened the season to 22.
Aaron.
