Who’s afraid of the…
big, black, smoky, cloud thing??? Well, I certainly am. I’m very sad to see Mr. Eko go. We learned a lot about him last night, and a full recap is on its way!

LOST - a television show that fascinates and captivates fans week after week. No show has ever prompted me to discuss it, theorize about it, question it, obsess over it, and write about it until now. That's what this site, Watching Lost, is all about. If you're like me and love LOST, then this is the place for you. Every weekday, I will bring you news, theories, spoilers, recaps, and general discussions about the show, the characters, and the actors. I am by no means a Lost expert, but I love the show, and I love trying to figure out what the heck is going on! We're all in this together, so please use the comment sections to keep discussions alive. Remember, live together, die alone. Enjoy!

I’m sad he is/was my favorite character, except Locke.
But, now that Locke is back to his regular “man of faith” self, he’s going to be a force to be reckoned with.

I hated to see Mr. Eko go, too. But now I think we have the trio … Locke, Sayid and Desmond. At least that’s what I’m hoping is the plan. I think the smoke “monster” is to feared if your heart is not pure. I disagreed with AAA’s comment in his LA Times interview about Eko having a pure heart no matter how many heads he chopped off. He was a sinner and for him to say he was not, was spitting in the face of God. Sure, some of the things he did were for good but the drug dealing and the murder he did connceted to his crimes were sins. And for him to say he did the best he could with what he was given was also a cop out. His brother was given the same choices as Eko but one had a pure heart and didn’t need material things, Yemmi. The other, Eko, couldn’t live the life of a priest and so turned to drugs so he could have money. Not a pure heart by any means. But I still really enjoyed the character.
